Costume Details

To join the Peaky Blinders gang look no further we can provide a high quality costume that will make you look like you have just stepped off the film set.

The Suit – is made from a very good quality wool tweed fabric that has been classically tailored in Britain. The tweed is a grey and brown square pattern check, perfect for Birmingham in 1919 where the story is set. As in Peaky Blinders, most men in this era would have had only a couple of suits and these were well made so would last.

The Jacket - is single breasted and fastens with three buttons, it is also slightly fitted into the waist.

The Waistcoat - is a light grey wool fabric, it has a buckle belt so you can tighten the waistcoat to give a more fitted look, and fastens with six buttons. It has two waist pockets which are perfect to hold your fob watch. .

The Trousers – are made of the same wool tweed fabric as the jacket, they have a high waist. The trousers would have been quite short for this era, ours are slightly tapered to a narrow hem with turn ups. They also have buttons for the button braces, no clip on braces yet, they don’t come in until the 1940s!

The Shirts – In Peaky Blinders the main character is seen quite often in a stripe shirt with a detachable collar and no form of tie, a great look. We have two choices of shirt, the stripe collarless cotton one with a detachable collar or a plain white shirt with a small point style collar, both are correct for the era. The detachable collar is a great look and makes you hold your head up straight, the collar can be removed for more comfort. The plain point collar shirt is much easier to wear and still has that Peaky Blinders flare especially with a bow tie.

The Bowtie – There are two choices with the black bow tie, either one that is already tied or one you tie yourself. We provide instructions on how to tie the bow tie so don’t worry no last minute panic on what to do with your tie just before you are due in the cocktail bar!

The Cravat –is made from silk/cotton. They come in various colours and patterns just choose the background colour of your choice.

The Cap –an eight piece flat cap often known as a Baker boy cap. The cap is wool tweed fully lined and has a popper on the peak to hold it down, or you could leave the popper undone for a fuller look, no razor blades.

The Fabric – The suit as mentioned is made from a very high quality wool tweed, the shirts are a good quality cotton, the hat is also a high quality wool fabric and the ties are a silk mix which lets them keep a crisp smart look for longer.
